Accepting GNU Taler payments as a Merchant first requires an [Exchange](https://ich.taler.net/t/what-is-an-exchange-banking-and-exchanges-interrogations/189) operating with the currency you want to provide payments with. Each Exchange has its own regional limitation, thus **it is important to first check whether Taler is planned to operate in your region**.
