# Is NGI TALER a trustworthy alternative to Stripe and cryptocurrencies?

Hi @ErickHaehnsen!

Do you have any news from them?  
As you can see in [GNU Taler Regional Availability](https://ich.taler.net/t/gnu-taler-regional-availability/326), we learned this summer that GLS will only operate Taler payments in euros from german merchants.
