IIRC the snack machine runs on a Raspberry Pi 2B, but it really should not matter. There is no reason why the Taler merchant shouldn’t be able to run on any Pi. However, compilation was done locally (no packages) and took quite a while (a few hours), including compiling GNUnet, exchange and merchant. And I think what was slow was mostly the SSD (and to some extend the CPU), I don’t think I had a RAM issue.
