IIRC the snack machine runs on a Raspberry Pi 2B, but it really should not matter. There is no reason why the Taler merchant shouldn’t be able to run on any Pi. However, compilation was done _locally_ (no packages) and took quite a while (a few hours), including compiling GNUnet, exchange and merchant. And I think what was slow was mostly the SSD (and to some extend the CPU), I don’t think I had a RAM issue.
