It looks like there is currently no way to let the customer decide how much to pay for an item (maybe with a minimum).
Especially for donation platforms or alternative economy setups, this would be a common feature.
Am I overlooking this option, or is it at least on the roadmap?

Taler does already support letting the customer decide how much to pay. A merchant can setup a “template” where either the price, or the description, or both can be made customer editable, and optionally a suggestion (default value) can be set.
Currently there is no minimum value, but we will take this into consideration in the future.
