Testing Taler wallet in France for Usability studies

Taler Wallet usability tests with senior citizens have begun in Paris, France.

In order to gauge the reaction of a public unfamiliar with the instant payment system such as Taler, and to assess its ergonomics and usability, the E-Seniors association is organizing test sessions in February and March with elderly members of the association.

The first of these took place on February 11: on the menu: presentation of the NGI TALER project, explanation of the Taler Wallet function and tests with the test audience of various Wallet functions and basic actions.

Participants were able to provide us with relevant feedback on their interest in instant payment, how the wallet works and their initial readiness to use it in the first instance.

Further test sessions with senior citizens aged 60 and over are planned:

  • Wednesday 2025-02-26T11:00:00Z
  • Friday 2025-03-07T13:00:00Z (to be confirmed)
  • Thursday 2025-03-12T23:00:00Z

These sessions will help us evaluate the TALER system and the public acceptance of it.

“currencies such as Taler” should read like: “tokens, digital vouchers, e-cash, digital money … in a Taler wallet app”. It’s not a currency itself, but Taler conveys units of existing currencies like CHF, Euro, … or TESTKODUS for testing the Taler app.

Thank you for the clarification and the correction , I made a ‘ wrong shortcut’ in the description of the workshop and Taler.

@Olivier-R you can change and update your own text, but for the sake of rapidity I used my admin capacity to it, but feel free to modify it if you like.
