I know Taler since a couple of years now. Really enjoyed the talk at Datenspuren 2024 in Dresden which brought the project back in my mind.
Looking forward to implement it in flohmarkt/flohmarkt: federated decentral classified ad software using activitypub - Codeberg.org once the time is right.

I am Philippos, founder of the Open Risk initiative. Broadly interested in the use of digital technologies towards a better risk managed and sustainable financial system. I submitted a proposal to NGI Taler for a plugin to power mine and other elearning platforms based on moodle, but it was not funded. In any case will try to keep abreast of developments and possible future opportunities to contribute. Looking forward to interesting discussions.

Combining event vouchers and a neighbourhood currency is an interesting idea. You have an area in mind where both overlap sufficiently?
We keep it local, the idea is to experiment with it at local BarCamps etc. so it would be Bonn, Germany. Feel free to spread the word, everyone is welcome!!
